Viappel: flooding alert service
Since Sallèles-d’Aude is located in an area liable to flooding and has already been damaged, the city hall decided to adopt a phone alert system called “VIAPPEL”. Its purpose is to inform the population in case of emergency (fire, flooding) quickly and adequately.
Your landline number in Sallèles-d’Aude will be automatically added to the VIAPPEL call list if you have a landline number and appear in the telephone directory (pages blanches or pages jaunes). However, you will have to register if you want to be called on your mobile(s), if you own a second home in Sallèles-d’Aude or if you are ex-directory.
Don’t forget to let the city hall reception staff know if you move, change number (landline or mobile) or if your situation requires a specific intervention of the rescue teams.
In the «Other remarks» section, feel free to mention any information about you that requires a specific action of the rescue teams (health issue, handicap, isolation...).
The city reserve for public safety
The Plan Communal de Sauvegarde (city plan for safety) is legally mandatory. It plans all the actions and organizes people in case of emergency (flooding, tanker incident, fire on the industrial estate of Truilhas...)
The human means set up to face these dangerous situations include the city hall staff, the concillors and the firefighters of Sallèles-d’Aude under the responsibility of Jean-Pierre Bardy.
In order to find more people willing to support and help others, the city council decided to create a city reserve for public safety. We kindly ask all inhabitants interested in helping to volunteer.
Volunteers act under the authority of the mayor. Their role is to inform, prepare, support and help people in case of emergency and handle logistics until everything gets back to normal.
